"Winds from Around the World"

Celebrate our 25th anniversary year  with a concert featuring works from all over the world!  Our season opens with a world premiere performance of a fanfare composed by Jude Gore, one of our very own WSW members.  You will hear music from England, Australia, France, South America and the United States!  Sharlotte DeVere will be our featured soloist.

Come join the WSW in March for a concert celebrating some of the finest music ever composed for band!  This performance will feature one of the greatest works ever composed for winds, the “Gran Partita” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  Composed in , it is universally acknowledged as one of the composer’s finest achievements. 

 
"The Music of Robert Russell Bennett"

Composer and orchestrator Robert Russell Bennett achieved fame not only as a composer for band, but as an orchestrator of some of the most popular musicals of the 20th century.  This performance will feature both of his talents, featuring his very famous “Suite of Old American Dances” as well as selections from Porgy and Bess, Oklahoma and The Sound of Music.  Come join us for an exciting finish to our 25th season!
